General Information:
Herriman Elementary will begin serving breakfast from 8:40-9:00. There will not be outside supervision before 8:40. Students will enter at the front doors of the school.

District Literacy Actions:
Herriman Elementary will begin the Jordan District's Literacy Initiative for reading standards. This guaranteed and viable curriculum includes Acadience for all grades, Really Great Reading for K-3 grades, Heggerty, and MSRC. These focus on Tier 1 instruction strategy of Word Recognition through the components of phonological awareness, phonics, and sight recognition. In addition, these programs highlight Language Comprehension through the elements of background knowledge, vocabular, language structures, verbal reasoning, and literacy knowledge. Last, the Tier 2 or Response to Intervention piece called Walk to Read by 95% Group.
